Harrison Ward signs for the Warriors

We have continued to strengthen our first team squad with the signing of Harrison Ward — an aggressive top-order batter with professional experience and a reputation for taking the game on.

Ward currently plays white-ball cricket for Sussex, where he’s built a name for himself as an aggressive left-hander who attacks in the powerplay. He’s also featured for the Challengers — a side that looks to give opportunities to players against professional teams — in a supportive role for those without professional experience.

His arrival adds serious dominance to the batting group, as we look to rebuild their side after Marles, Woodland and Callis left at the end of the 2024 season.

Chairman Chris Sketchley was full of praise.

“We are delighted to sign Harrison Ward to add to our strengthening batting unit. Harrison has lots of professional experience and will be a massive asset to our club.”

Ward joins a group already strengthened by the arrivals of Aadi Sharma, Dan Lincoln, and Josh Lincoln — a trio that blends youth, experience, and match-winning ability.

Sharma has signed a rookie deal at Northamptonshire and has already shown his skill as he's been piling on the centuries for Northants 2s this pre-season, bringing his form to London Road. Dan Lincoln — the current Challengers captain and former Middlesex pro — needs little introduction. Captain Cam Parsons has already discussed Josh Lincoln’s all-around ability at the Berkshire level.

Together, they form a strong foundation for a new-look side that’s looking to hit the ground running.
